Rajasthan government imposed Night Curfew in Jaipur district; Markets will be closed after 7PM

Amid the increasing Covid-19 cases in Rajasthan, the government of Rajasthan has decided to impose night curfews in the most affected 8 districts, including Jaipur. The decision to impose the curfew from 8 am to 6 am was taken at the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at the end of Saturday. The government also increased the penalty for not wearing masks from 200 to 500. The special thing is that those who go to the wedding will be exempt from the night curfew.

The government issued a new guideline at midnight on Saturday. It said that by closing the commercial activities, including markets and offices at 7 pm, all employees will be able to reach home before the night curfew starts. Essential services, including medical stores and those traveling by buses, trains and airplanes, will be exempt during the night curfew. Students who take the exam will also be excused.

The government has decided that only 50 people will be able to attend the wedding ceremony. Previously, 100 people were allowed to join. Only 85 percent of employees in government offices in sensitive districts affected by the Covid-19 will be called on to work. The surveillance teams will be active again and the tests will be increased.

3,000 cases were reported in Rajasthan on Saturday. 995 positive cases were found in Jaipur and Jodhpur. Thereafter, Section 144 was imposed in many cities in the state.
